ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER


Job Description:  Full-time Elementary School Special Education Teacher – Cumberland Elementary School

Qualifications:  Wisconsin Special Education License Certification in Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801) or one of the following: Learning Disabilities (1811), Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830), Intellectual Disabilities (1810).

Requirements: The Cumberland School District is accepting applications for an elementary special education teacher for grades kindergarten through fourth grade, effective at the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

The candidate should have a good understanding of special education related to individual educational programs and assessments and accommodations/modifications to the regular curriculum. This teacher will support the instructional needs of students through modifying, designing, and implementing core instruction, and also by providing individual and small group instruction for identified students. Responsibilities will include evaluating students, developing and writing individual education plans, and delivering appropriate aligned instruction for students with increased academic, social, physical, or emotional needs.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, dynamic professional who is passionate about student learning. The ability to work in a collaborative team environment is a must.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Job Description:  Full-time Speech and Language Pathologist – Cumberland School District

Qualifications:  The qualified candidate will possess or be eligible to hold a DPI License,
1820 - Speech and Language Pathology

Requirements: The Cumberland School District is accepting applications for a Speech and Language Pathologist, effective at the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

This candidate is responsible for providing speech/language therapy, evaluating students in the areas of both speech and/or language disabilities, report writing, participating in district wide screenings, and IEP writing and meetings. The therapist should be able to demonstrate ability to be a student advocate and a team collaborator to ensure students’ success. The ability to interact in a positive, constructive manner, with students, families, and staff members is essential.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Job Description:  Full-Time 4K-12 School Psychologist – Cumberland School District

Qualifications:  Must be Wisconsin DPI certified for School Psychologist (7062).

Requirements:  Desired candidates will have strong leadership and communication skills.  Candidates should be student-centered and able to conduct educational evaluations, consult with staff and parents, provide psychological counseling, and provide leadership in school-wide educational interventions, including Response to Intervention, social-emotional learning, trauma-focused care, and school based mental health services.  Candidates will work collaboratively with general and special education staff to help address the needs of our students.  Experience in progress monitoring, completing functional behavior assessments, and creating behavioral intervention plans is desired.
