CMS offers a wide variety of athletic opportunites for our students.  The following are available for each and every CMS student to participate in...

Football: A school sponosred sport in 7th and 8th grade, the season starts in mid-August and continues through early October.  The coaching staff of Joe Waite, Bill McCreary, Ritchie Narges, and Spike Gideo have a combined 50 years of experience in coaching football.  Additionally, tackle football is offered to 5th and 6th graders through the Cumberland Football Association.

Volleyball: Volleyball is a school sponsored sport for 7th and 8th grade girls.  The season starts in late August and continues through early October.  The 7th graders are coached by Nancy Scharhag and the 8th grade is coached by Ann Ethen.

Soccer: Cumberland AYSO sponsors teams in both the fall and springs seasons.  Check them out at www.cumberlandsoccer.org for news and schedules.

Basketball (Boys): A school sponsored sport in 7th and 8th grade.  The season starts in mid-October and continues through mid-December.  The 7th graders are coached by Mark Fuller while Joe Waite coaches the 8th graders.  Additionally, the Cumberland Basketball Association sponsors traveling teams in grades 5-8. 

Basketball (Girls): A school sponsored sport in 7th and 8th grade.  The season starts in early January and continues through late February.  The 7th graders are coached by JR Buckley while the 8th graders are coached by Sarah Stromberg. 

Wrestling: A school sponsored sport for 5-8th graders begining in March and running through late April.  Coaches are Jim Ritchie and Eric Becker.

Track: A school sponsored sport for 7th and 8th graders beginning in April and running through May, coached by Bill McCreary.

Baseball: The Cumberland Baseball Association sponsors day leagues and traveling teams from 3rd grade through American Legion baseball.  The Cumberland baseball program is recognized as one of the finest programs in Wisconsin, with one of the best facilities in the state.

Hockey: The Cumberland Hockey Association sponsors teams through PeeWees to High School, and features an indoor ice facility.
