Volleyball Team Loses to the HON’s Two Best Teams; Dig Pink is Tuesday
It was a tough week for the Cumberland Volleyball Team as they played the Conference’s two undefeated teams, dropping all three games to both Barron and St. Croix Falls. The team moves on to play Spooner and Northwestern this week, with Thursday’s contest against the Tigers a “Parent’s Night” contest. Next Tuesday, meanwhile, the team host Cameron in their annual “Dig Pink Night,” when the team raises awareness and funds for those battling breast cancer.
Leading the way for Coach Erin Miller against Barron was Raegan Beecroft with six digs and two kills. Kaylee Jackson and Sara Roff also contributed six digs.
Roff also had a team-leading 10 digs against St. Croix Falls while Natalie Anderson had eight assists and Hailey Paulsen four kills. Coach Miller complimented both Paulson and Lily Murphy for good nights off the bench.
