ACADEMIC AND CAREER PLANNING (ACP)
All students in grades 6-12 in the state of Wisconsin are required to have an Academic and Career Plan starting the 2017-2018 school year. Academic and Career plans (ACP) provide the opportunity for students to compile a variety of information to plan for their future education and careers. Cumberland School District will be using the software program, Xello, to help implement the ACP process. Students can access their academic and careers plans on Xello by logging in through their PowerSchool account. Parents and guardians can request access to their student’s ACP by contacting the school counselor. To find out more about Xello, visit the DPI Website.
Cumberland Middle School’s plan provides a process for students to participate in ongoing activities for self-exploration, career exploration, career planning, career management, and goal setting. Each year students will be expected to complete a variety of activities to include in their portfolios that will enhance their knowledge about their interests and skills and create opportunities to prepare for their futures.
Cumberland High School strives to provide a solid foundation for all students to succeed in their chosen path after graduation. To ensure our graduates are college and career ready, all students will create an Academic & Career Plan using the ACP Model.
