🥚🪂 Our brilliant 5th graders put their engineering skills to the test with the Great Egg Drop Challenge!
Tasked with designing parachutes that could protect a plastic egg from a high drop, these young scientists applied teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity to build devices that floated safely to the ground—without a single crack! 💡
From tissue paper, to string and tape, their designs were as unique as their ideas. Science, gravity, and a little trial-and-error made for an unforgettable hands-on learning experience!
📸 Check out some memorable designs!

📚📖 Our #CSDGoBeavers 5th graders wrapped up their fractured fairy tales and took a special trip to the elementary school to share their creative stories with the 3rd and 4th graders!
They were so proud to read their imaginative twists on classic tales and the younger students loved every minute! 😊

🃏🎲 Chris Knutson brought in some expert cribbage players to play against our #CSDGoBeavers students!
Cribbage is great way to practice and master math skills, learn a life long game, and is sooooo much fun! THANK YOU volunteers! ❤️

📚⚔️ Let the battles begin! Our amazing 3rd and 4th graders are gearing up for this year’s Battle of the Books competition! They'll start their "battles" next week. Wish them luck as they showcase their reading skills and teamwork! 📖

🌉 Finishing up the third quarter in PreCalculus, our #CSDGoBeavers students just completed their bridge building project!
Given the level of mathematics that is taught in trigonometry, the mathematical concepts of our bridge building curriculum focuses on forces, magnitude and direction of resultant vectors, and maximum load capacities on structural components. The students use their trigonometric knowledge and creativity to design a simple bridge out of mere toothpicks and glue.
It is amazing what a little ingenuity and teamwork can accomplish with the power of mathematics. This year's winning team had a strength-to-weight ratio of 1481.3, putting them on the school wall of fame! 🎉👏 Congratulations Addison, Carter, Charlotte, and Julia!!

📖 Addy, Hugh, Henrik, Larkin, and Sam read and passed over 100 A.R. books for the month of March! These #CSDGoBeavers first graders earned a trip to the bakery for a delicious donut treat!! 🍩
A special shout-out to Luke who passed over 200 A.R. books and earned a lunch from Subway/BP! 🍕
These amazing #CSDGoBeavers students have read a combined total of over 700 books! WOW, reading is so SWEET! 😋

🎨 April’s Masterpieces of the Month!
Our #CSDGoBeavers 7th & 8th grade 2D design students have been hard at work creating stunning white charcoal drawings using the gridding method! Instead of focusing on shadows, these talented artists emphasized highlights to bring their artwork to life. 🖼️✏️
We are proud to showcase the incredible work of:
🌟 Aiyana Escolano
🌟 Lily Bos
🌟 Tru Lehmann
🌟 Kynleigh Shramek-Neuenfeldt
