🏀❤️ A night to celebrate our AMAZING teachers! Our #CSDGoBeavers girl's basketball team hosted Teacher Appreciation Night at their home game, inviting staff to attend and be recognized for their dedication and support to our students. 📚 It was a fantastic turnout and a heartfelt way to show gratitude to all of our incredible CSD staff members! 🎄🎁 Ugly Sweater Day at the middle school was a hit! One of the best parts? So many of these festive sweaters came with fun stories to share! It was a day full of laughter, holiday spirit, and creative fashion choices! 🤣 #CSDGoBeavers

🌲🛶 Some of our #CSDGoBeavers 5th and 6th graders had an opportunity to work with birch bark to make mini canoe Christmas ornaments in Mr. LaBlanc's room. They also were able to try some amazing Native American frybread! Thank you, Barb and Stacie LaBlanc, for donating your frybread and time! The students had a great time! 😊

🎅🍪 Ms. Emme‘s students have been busy getting in the Christmas spirit by decorating Christmas cookies and making their very own Santa’s workshop! #CSDGoBeavers

We are at our best when we serve others! ❤️ Mrs. Gramberg, Mrs. Juleff, and their 5th & 6th graders prepared and served a feast for the #CSDGoBeavers Middle School staff and parents! It was so fun seeing their eyes light up with pride because of all of work they put into this meal! 🍽️

📣 Let's give a big shout-out to our hard-working Cumberland FFA members! Within hours, hundreds of cases of fruit were unloaded, sorted, and delivered. 🍎🍊 Even Mr. Fuller stopped by to be part of the fun! We appreciate the tremendous support of our #CSDGoBeavers families and community members too! Enjoy your fruit! 😁

🌍🎀 Our first graders are exploring holidays from around the world! Take a peek at Mrs. Lord's class crafting paper bag gingerbread houses and enjoying gingerbread cookies as they learn about German traditions. Fun fact: Did you know Christmas trees originated in Germany? 🎄 #CSDGoBeavers

💰 Do not pass GO, do not collect $200—unless you’re in Mrs. Knutson’s class! Some of our elementary students had a blast practicing their skills with the 🎲 classic game of Monopoly. The best part? Mrs. Knutson’s husband stepped in as the 🏦 banker, making the experience even more memorable! #CSDGoBeavers

🚶‍➡️🏞️ Our #CSDGoBeavers 8th graders glided into adventure at the Chippewa Moraine! They took a hike, learned about how glaciers form the land around them, played some ice-breaking voyager games, and even slithered out of their comfort zones by holding a snake! 🐍 What a cool way to learn about the forces that shaped our world! 🌍

The Natural Resource Management class received a clean perspective on how Cumberland tackles 💧 wastewater treatment! 📣 THANK YOU to Katie for guiding our #CSDGoBeavers students through the wastewater journey—from filtration, to being broken down by hardworking microorganisms, and finally returning to the Hay River. 🌊 Even with the unique aroma, the facility left quite the impression! 😅

Cumberland Middle School recently held its 2024 National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony. Students can qualify for this honor as an 8th-grade student by maintaining a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and committing to complete 10 hours of community service each year. 📣 THANK YOU to Chad Olson from Comstock Meat and Cheese, the keynote speaker! 🇺🇸 Mrs. DePatto’s dad, a veteran of the Navy, spent the morning with our #CSDGoBeavers kindergarteners! They learned about what a veteran is, why we honor them and are thankful for them, and also about his time on a submarine! They couldn’t believe he would be underwater for up to three months at a time and that a submarine could even emerge in the North Pole! 📣 Thank you Mr. Silverberg for your service and your time spent with some of our youngest Beavers!! They learned so much and are so grateful!!
