Soccer Team Finishes Regular Season; WIAA Playoffs Started Tuesday
The Cumberland Soccer Team’s regular season came to an end last week with a 6-0 loss to Barron. The Beavers held the Bears scoreless for 30 minutes before Barron began its scoring binge over the game’s final 55 minutes. “We couldn’t match their skill and quickness on all parts of the field,” said Head Coach Brent Sellent.
Cumberland opened WIAA tournament action on Tuesday with a home match against Faith Christian Academy. A win there would send the team into a second-round matchup against Barron this Thursday in Barron at 4:00 pm.
