Volleyball Team Ends Regular Season; Opened WIAA Tournament on Tuesday

When you play the HON’s best two teams, you know it is going to be a difficult week. That’s what happened last Tuesday and Thursday, when Cumberland dropped matches to Barron and 2026 conference champion St. Croix Falls Saints.

“We played with great effort but could not pull off an upset,” said Coach Erin Miller. The team opened WIAA tournament action on Tuesday against Elk Mound and, should it win, will play at Northwestern this Thursday night.

Against Barron, Natalie Anderson led the team with 10 assists and three service aces, while Hailey Paulson had a team-leading nine kills. Against the Saints, Anderson led the team with 12 assists, while Lily Murphy had 13 digs.
